From Fleece To Fiber: Simple Dying Techniques

In this colorful installment of our From Fleece to Fiber series, we’ll explore simple, accessible ways to dye both raw wool and spun yarn—using tools you probably already have in your kitchen.
We’ll cover acid dyes and fiber-reactive dyes, when each is appropriate, and how to getgorgeous results without needing a lab coat.
You’ll dye a variety of fibers provided in class, and you’re welcome to bring your own clean wool or yarn to experiment with. Everything you dye is yours to keep.
Supplies to bring:
Clean wool or yarn (optional)
An apron or old clothes (you will getcolorful)
We’ll supply fiber, dye, and equipment

Time: 4 hours
Cost: $80 per person
Class size: Limited to 10 students
Registration deadline: May 24th, 2025
A minimum of 8 students is required for the class to run.
