Event Description

“An especially noteworthy day, for it marked the start of therecording of Ringo’s debut solo composition ‘Don’t Pass Me By’. Strangely, it began the 2.30 pm-1.30 am session as ‘Ringo’s Tune ‘Untitled’ and thenbecame, equally temporarily, ‘This is Some Friendly’. Strange because, as early as 1963, it was reported in the press and revealed in a BBC radiointerview that Ringo was halfway through the writing of his own song and even then he was calling it ‘Don’t Pass Me By’.”
