Event Description

Join us in the fight against the LGBTQIA+ community with an Emo Night for good.

Led by Dorothy's Creative Director Whitney LaMora, we'll be playing songs between 8-11pm across the pop and punk spectrum, highlighting femme artists for the best sing along, rage along, community gathering opportunity.

Doors open at 6pm with a cover free happy hour until 7pm. Starting at 7pm we'll charge a $10 cover at the door with a portion of proceeds donated to Action Camp for LGBQTIA+ youth.

Each August, Youth Services partners with The Alliance, a program of Public Health Institute of Metropolitan Chicago, to host Action Camp, a 5-day sleepaway camp that brings together young leaders from GSAs and youth groups across the state to learn from one another and shape the safer schools movement. Action Camp is a space often described as “magical” where youth are able to see their identities reflected back at them, sharpen their critical lens, strengthen their own anti-oppressive frameworks and actively skill-share and practice what it means to create spaces in the world where all identities are safe, supported, affirmed and celebrated.

RSVPs do not guarentee entry but serve as calendar reminders for our guests and anticipated volume of attendees for our staff. RSVPs are not required for entry.

Emo Night plays from 8-11pm. Dorothy continues on until last call at 1am.

Dorothy is 21+ and requires physical ID for all to enter. Dorothy is also ADA accessible with elevator access on Campbell Ave. If you are a guest who requires elevator access, please wait by the black door on Campbell Ave with our logo in the window and call our staff to assist: 773-770-3799
