1963: Philharmonic Hall, Liverpool: Dick Rowe (Decca) and George Harrison are co-judging the "Lancashire and Cheshire Beat Group Contest." Harrison tells Rowe about his visit to hear the Rolling Stones the previous month. Rowe leaves midway through the evening to return to London and hear the Stones for himself.
