about the Lecture + Luncheon
The Lecture + Luncheon is the Woman’s Board’s principal fundraising effort, supporting vital initiatives that foster learning and engagement throughout the museum. The event’s co-chairs are Art Institute of Chicago Woman’s Board members Lisa Ehrhart and Lu Leng Chua.
Since its formation in 1952, the Woman’s Board of the Art Institute of Chicago has provided annual support that enhances the experiences of the museum’s many audiences, including families, students and educators, and the general public.
about the artist
Lisa Yuskavage is a highly influential artist known for her innovative approach to painting, which blends bold and reflective elements in works that challenge traditional art genres. Her paintings feature diverse characters within compositions that mix realistic and abstract forms, with color playing a key role in conveying deeper meanings. Born in Philadelphia, Yuskavage earned her BFA from the Tyler School of Art and her MFA from the Yale School of Art. Since 2005, her work has been represented by David Zwirner. Her art has been showcased in museums worldwide, including the Art Institute of Chicago and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
