One of the most sought-after performing storytellers in the United States, with a silly putty voice, hilarious heart-filled stories, and amazing mouth noises (arguably, the greatest whistler in the world) one-person-showman, Andy Offutt Irwin, is equal parts mischievous schoolboy and the Marx Brothers, peppered with a touch of the Southern balladeer.
Andy will be joined by storytellers Darci Tucker and Gayle Turner.
Gayle Turner has been telling stories since they were called lies. Appearing on stage for over 60 years, Gayle revels in sharing personal stories as well as tales from literature and history. As CEO of The Storytellers Channel, he delights in helping people tell their stories well. He is the Executive Producer of The Hearts Afire Storytelling Series, the Mountain Mac Virginia Liars Contest and the Stories Matter! Workshops and Showcases.
Darci Tucker is an historian, author, playwright, actress and storyteller. She portrays more than 20 women from American history, and performs in venues nationwide. She literally wrote the book on how to portray people from history and literature, and she trains teachers and museum professionals to teach through storytelling and character interpretation.
