This was the first "official" solo Beatles album, as well as the very first Apple long-player: George Harrison's musical cues to the Wonderwall film. He'd seized on the project as a way to meld Western-Eastern musical styles. In large part what he created defied easy classification, though, as heard on this track - “Red Lady Too”:

The album did not chart in the UK, but was a modest success in the US, peaking at #49.
