ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Felicia Shakespeare is a native Chicagoan who has achieved success in both the business and the education sectors. She is an author, international speaker, educator and entrepreneur. Felicia’s career experience spans through years of working for Fortune 500 companies and for the third largest school district in America. Felicia’s mission is to inspire others to be intentional about living a life of faith and purpose. Some of her pivotal business exposure came while working for tech icon IBM Corporation in the areas of Sales, Operations and Account Management in the Global Financing and Global Services Divisions. Felicia redirected her skills as a career changer from the corporate sector to the education sector and has held a number of successful roles at both the school and the central office district level both in tech, teaching and administration. She often says that she is “in the business of educating.”

In 2018, Felicia won the WNBA Chicago Sky Redefine Possible Women’s Leadership Award along with other Chicagoans—including actress Lisa Raye McCoy, alderwoman Pat McDowell, and others.
