A staple in the Chicago community, Hannah Bonecutter has created a film that has been shown in more than 20 film festivals around the world, including the renowned Cannes Film Festival. Minstrel vs. Puppet has won several judges awards, including the Outstanding U.S. Narrative Award at the D.C. Shorts Film Festival as well as the Award of Merit from the Best Shorts Competition.
In the arts realm, Hannah Bonecutter is an actress, model, spoken word poet, and filmmaker. Specifically within film, she has served in the roles of Executive Producer, Writer, Director, Actress, Costume Designer, and Production Designer. She has been featured in several Chicago and surrounding area projects ranging from major network television series to independent narrative features. She has also executive produced three of her own film projects, including a feature-length documentary entitled Live as The Majority. She balances her artistry among other careers as a licensed educator, entrepreneurial professional organizer, and public health professional. Hannah is a highly sought-after public speaker, whether within an educational setting or an artistic space sharing her personal journey. Hannah states that her mission in life is “to be a light of exposure and inspiration.â€
