Fruit Cocktail: SPILL THE TEA - an intentional queer tea dance & mixer

FRUIT COCKTAIL: spill the tea is the hottest new mixer tea dance party in town. Brought to you by the team behind Fruit Salad, Dorothy’s sellout queer open mic night, get ready to get down, get in conversation and spend an afternoon at your favorite lesbian cocktail lounge.

This event is designed intentionally to be available to a variety of community members and we want to invite anyone into our party. Caretakers, older generation queer folks, weekday or nighttime workers - this is for you!

Guests will have a chance to identify what they’re looking for by a simple playful button at the door: friendship! romance! community! or all of the above. Consent, respect, pronouns and positive communication will continue to be at the forefront of what we do!

Doors for this event are at 4pm and this month’s feature on the decks is: Zeetus Lapetus!

Zeetus Lapetus (They/Them) is THE Intergalactic Funk DJ of Chicago. Zeetus brings the fun and deep cuts to the dance floor and has been enjoyed by hundreds of people over the last few years. Voted of Chicago’s top 3 house DJs on 2022, Zeetus is also a beloved community member known to bring folks together. They’ve played many major venues in Chicago (Lincoln Hall, Berlin (RIP), Cersei Rooftop, Empty Bottle & etc) as well as been on The Lot Radio in New York. Zeetus is known for making an audience feel like they are boarding a spaceship and partying in a celestial disco!

Get here before 5pm where our host Rainn kicks off TEA TIME with some intentional ways to connect with each other.

Zeetus Lapetus then plays from 5:30-7pm and Dorothy continues on until Midnight!

Dorothy is 21+ and requires physical ID for all to enter. Dorothy is also ADA accessible with elevator access on Campbell Avenue. If you are a guest who requires elevator access, please wait outside of the double doors on Campbell Ave and call our staff: 773-770-3799

SAFE ZONES at Fruit Cocktail: our door greeter, our host Rainn, Dorothy staff and our outside security teams are all somewhere to go should you feel unsafe or uncomfortable or have any questions about navigating the space and the night.

Please note: refund requests are only accepted 24 hours before the event (2/2, 4pm). No other refunds will be accepted.
