ABOUT THE ARTIST

Rachel Drew grew up in a musical home on the north side of Chicago singing 3-part harmony with her parents, getting lost in imaginary songs on the family piano, and dancing wildly to dusty classical records. She's now a prolific songwriter, a fixture in multiple Chicago groups and musical residencies, and a frequent close harmony singer on other people's records. Rachel offers soulful ballads and rockers drenched in a late-night honky-tonk ambiance no matter the time of day. The sound is influenced by rockabilly, blues, folk, and country & western. She frequently plays with John Szymanski (Jon Langford), Rob Newhouse (Elvis Brothers), Alton Smith (Anna Fermin), Scott Tipping (Peter Himmelman), and Cathie Van Wert Menard (The Menards), along with a steady rhythm section of Jason Batchko and Aaron Smith. They’ll be coming out with a new record in the spring of 2023.

Tennis Court Oath is a power pop trio with a classical streak and a flair for the unexpected. Band members have played in Femme de Champagne, The Hurtin' Kind, The City Thrills, Femme de Champagne, Phil Angotti, Babette’s Feast, Daddy Burger Swag, and others. The trio consists of Mike Collins (drums, vocals), Charlie Short (bass, vocals), and Babette Novak (guitar, keyboards, vocals). Tennis Court Oath recently released a new single, ‘Lilia’, and are planning a spring 2023 CD/album.
