The CF Humanities and Social Sciences Department presents retired Col. Janet Yarlott Horton, US Army chaplain on Thursday, April 4, at 6 p.m. in the Webber Center. Col. Horton will discuss her role as one of the military's first female chaplains as well as her own faith background in Christian Science. Horton is a master of divinity, commissioned by the US Army in 1976, has received two Legion of Merit awards, four Meritorious Service medals and two Army Commendation medals. She was present at the Pentagon on Sept. 11 and prayed with victims. She also wrote Cracking the Camouflage Ceiling.
