Please join us for the fourth almost-annual Women In Translation Month reading! Members of Chicago’s own Third Coast Translators Collective are thrilled to return to Women & Children First to present their latest translations and fill you in on #WiTMonth developments. Everybody and every body welcome.

Moderator Julia Conrad is a writer and Italian translator. Her essays and translations have been published in Asymptote, The Massachusetts Review, Guernica, The Offing, and many others. She is currently working on a hidden history of women in classical music, to be published by Simon & Schuster.

Denise Kripper is a bilingual Spanish-English literary translator and a translation studies scholar. She is the Translation Editor at Latin American Literature Today and the author of Narratives of Mistranslation: Fictional Translators in Latin American Literature. Alta L. Price runs a publishing consultancy specialized in literature and nonfiction texts on art, architecture, design, and culture. Of the more than 40 books Alta has translated from Italian and German, Juli Zeh’s New Year (World Editions, 2021) was a finalist for both the 2022 PEN America Translation Prize and the Helen & Kurt Wolff Prize, and About People was published in 2023. http://www.altalprice.com
