This interactive workshop event is physical love letter from black women to black girls. The purpose is to encourage, empower, and support black girls by fostering a safe space to discuss topics from the book and beyond. Even if you have never read, "Dear Black Girl," don't miss this event. Black girls of all ages coming together to discuss the issues that concern us over lunch and postive vibes is not only ground breaking but life changing for participants. It's a space to be heard, and seen, and heal.
"Dear Black Girl is the empowering, affirming love letter our girls need in order to thrive in a world that does not always protect, nurture, or celebrate us. This collection of Black women’s voices… is a must-read, not only for Black girls, but for everyone who cares about Black girls, and for Black women whose inner-Black girl could use some healing." (Tarana Burke, Founder of the "Me Too" Movement)
