Event Description

A 90 minute storytelling performance, featuring Terri A. Johnson, Emily Hooper Lansana, Sybyl Walker, Kelly Suzanne Saulsberry, Gay Chisum, and Shelley A. Davis. Storytelling starts at 6:30pm.

SOL Collective Artistic Statement:

As a women of color storytelling collective, SOL works together to craft and perform authentic personal stories, voicing the complexity of inter-generational femme experiences. Through humor, empathy, community and joy, we create healing connections in transformative narratives that reclaim and amplify our lineage and heritage of storytelling whilst defying racial barriers. SOL Collective is an artistic response to the continued inequities of how womxn of color are seen, heard and interpreted. SOL, we are womxn of the Sun; Soul-ancestral heart spirit; Stories of Our Lives.
