Planned Parenthood of Illinois (PPIL) is launching a virtual panel series titled “Illinois Nonprofits After COVID-19†on Wednesday, April 29 at noon. The first panel in the series focuses on “Working Together to Ensure an Equitable Future.†Participants include: Jennifer Welch, President and CEO of PPIL; Erin Walton, Executive Director of Resilience; Karina Ayala-Bermejo, President and CEO of Instituto del Progreso Latino; and Alexa James, Executive Director of NAMI Chicago. The event is moderated by WBEZ reporter Natalie Moore. This event is free, however, registration is required at bit.ly/ILAfterCovid.
Some of the questions panelists will discuss include:
How has your organization responded to the COVID-19 crisis?
How have you worked with other organizations to meet the needs of your clients/patients/beneficiaries?
How has the COVID-19 crisis changed the way you implement your services?
What are the ways forward to build a more equitable future for Illinois?
PPIL plans to host two more panel discussions with nonprofit leaders, focusing on changing public policy and acknowledging and addressing statewide disparities. The additional panels are being planned for June 2020. Additional details forthcoming.
