Event Description

The CF Theatre presents "The Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald and adapted for the stage by Simon Levy. This production is directed by Dr. Kathleen Downs, associate professor, theatre, Visual and Performing Arts Department and presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc., New York.

Jay Gatsby, a self-made millionaire, passionately pursues the elusive Daisy Buchanan. Nick Caraway, a young newcomer to Long Island, is drawn into their world of obsession, greed and danger. The breathtaking glamour and decadent excess of the 1920's Jazz Age come to the stage in this classic novel.

Adult content and simulated gun shots. May not be suitable for children under age 16.

Adult tickets $12, non-CF student $6, CF students, faculty and staff free. Handicap seating and companion seats are available by calling the CF Box Office at 352-873-5810 or visiting the Box Office in the lobby of the auditorium Monday-Friday 1-4 p.m.
