HOMAGE 2 HER: an intentional space for to pay homage to Black femme music

DJ Khali Melon joins us on February 1st with HOMAGE 2 HER - an intentional space for lesbians their music-loving friends to pay homage to Black femme music pioneers and present-day powerhouses to enjoy in a safely.

Gather in community as DJ Khali Melon kicks off this month and series with an R&B focused night featuring contemporary soul, jazz and R&B - all to be enjoyed in our 70s inspired subterranean cocktail lounge.

Beginning their musical artistry in 2021, DJ Khali Melon intends to reverse the melancholy by inviting all to share the joy of liberation over larger than life sounds. A state of Khali Melon recognizes the expansiveness of Black dance music as an ever-evolving genre and pays homage to the strides and tracks made by Chicago house music pioneers. Khali melon has colored stages across Chicago including The Promontory, Silver Room block party, Berlin Nightclub, and was the first featured DJ for Dorothy’s Fruit Salad in 2022.

Tickets are $10 in advance / $15 at the door. Door entry tickets sold up to capacity. DJ Khali Melon plays all night from 6-10pm!
