Event Description

This reading and performance shines a light on the creative work of five emerging writers, artists, educators, and Visiting Teaching Artists in the Forms & Features workshop series: Alecia Beymer, Kameryn Alexa Carter, Natalia Conte, TS Leonard, and Derek JG Williams.

Inspired by the works in this reading, read and write your own poems with the guidance of Beymer’s exploration of The Infra-Ordinary, Carter’s essay on The Black Ecstatic, Conte’s insights on Crafting Surprising Images within Medical Intervention Poetry, Leonard’s Poetry in Urgent Times as Peace and Possibility, and Williams’s Poetic Cinematography.

Forms & Features is the Poetry Foundation’s series of free online creative writing workshops for adults. To learn about current and upcoming offerings, including workshops created and led by Visiting Teaching Artists, please visit our Events page.
