Fruit Cocktail: SPILL THE TEA - an intentional queer tea dance & mixer

FRUIT COCKTAIL: spill the tea is the hottest new mixer tea dance party in town. Brought to you by the team behind Fruit Salad, Dorothy’s sellout queer open mic night, get ready to get down, get in conversation and spend an afternoon at your favorite lesbian cocktail lounge.

This event is designed intentionally to be available to a variety of community members and we want to invite anyone into our party. Caretakers, older generation queer folks, weekday or nighttime workers - this is for you!

Guests will have a chance to identify what they’re looking for by a simple playful button at the door: friendship! romance! community! or all of the above. Consent, respect, pronouns and positive communication will continue to be at the forefront of what we do!

For February's event we encourage you to wear your favorite fit and best conversation-starting accessories!

Doors for this event are at 4pm and this month’s feature on the decks is: tigermilk!

Multifaceted redhead tigermilk has been delivering adventurous new sounds to fans near and far since 2018. She curates good times for groove-lovin’ folks, and her genre-hopping sets are sprinkled with cool rhythms and bass lines, sticky melodies, and flavorful bops—if she can feel it, she'll play it. Tigermilk has performed her DJ stylings at venues across Chicago, including Sleeping Village, California Clipper, Maxwell Street Market, and the Virgin Hotel.

Get here before 5pm where our host Rainn kicks off TEA TIME with our TEA TIME TAKEOVER guest: J. Frausto! J. will share advice on the Chicago fashion scene and set you up to connect with one another on your fashions, fits and accessories.

tigermilk then plays from 5:30-7pm and Dorothy continues on until Midnight!

Dorothy is 21+ and requires physical ID for all to enter. Dorothy is also ADA accessible with elevator access on Campbell Avenue. If you are a guest who requires elevator access, please wait outside of the double doors on Campbell Ave and call our staff: 773-770-3799

SAFE ZONES at Fruit Cocktail: our door greeter, our host Rainn, Dorothy staff and our outside security teams are all somewhere to go should you feel unsafe or uncomfortable or have any questions about navigating the space and the night.

Please note: refund requests are only accepted until midnight the night before the event. No day of refund requests will be accepted.
