Mariah Carey has been on the scene since 1990 and on November 19th you can celebrate her catalogue with us through the years with a set by Psylo Soundz™!

Psylo Soundz is an audio engineer and DJ from the north side of Chicago. Being born into a musically inclined family, Psylo was exposed to music long before they came out the womb. As the daughter of a renowned Chicago DJ, Psylo has taken advantage of the musical knowledge that seems innately a part of their being. From raw and authentic Chicago house music, to the grunginess of groups like The Clash and The Flying Lizards, Psylo's knowledge of music is apparent in their ever-changing selection. Though they're fairly new to the technicalities of mixing, mastering, and DJing, Psylo is no stranger to the delicate, tedious, but rewarding process of creating music. "My favorite part about the music-making process is cleaning the sound up. Creating that goosebump-inducing feeling. I love to be the reason why you love how a song sounds." Now a DJ student & certified sound engineer, Psylo continues to educate themself daily as well as find new people to share their love for music with.

Doors open at 6pm and Mariah tunes roll all night until 10pm. Tickets are a sliding scale $12, $15 & $20 before doors.

Dorothy is 21+ and requires a physical ID for all to enter. Dorothy is ADA accessible with elevator access on Campbell Avenue. If you are a guest who requires elevator access, stop in Split-Rail before the show or speak to our security person at the Dorothy door.

PsyloSoundz shares: For as long as I can remember, I have always been a HUGE Mariah Carey fan. Not only is she my Aries queen, but she's easily one of the most talented songwriters, producers, & singers of musical history (this is factual!). I admire Mariah for her artistry and her ability to convey very relatable feelings through the most intricate melodies, harmonies, and lyrics. Mariah is also an ally of the LGBTQIA+ community (which she earned an award for in 2016) and makes an unwavering effort to display unity, visibility, and inclusivity in nearly everything she does. Her vast catalog has helped millions of fans get through the toughest heartbreaks as well as make them feel like they're untouchable. For this reason, I'm ecstatic to dedicate a night to playing the music of an artist that I heavily regard, respect, and love.The set that I'll be playing will be one that's from the point of view of a TRUE lamb, so if you know what that means, consider this one of many lambily reunions!
