Dorothy is pleased to be the home for the album release event for LIPSTICK, the latest full album by friend of Dorothy: Rosa! Rosa writes songs instead of going to therapy which results in earnest oversharing to a folk-pop sound. She hopes you relate, and if you don’t relate she hopes you’re entertained. Follow her on instagram @sitwithrosa to keep up with upcoming gigs, releases, and gossip.
About the album, Rosa says: "The Lipstick Album is a series of fleeting moments - A first glance across a bar, a midnight walk down a street that no longer feels familiar, waking up with last night's wine glass on the bedside table. Each song is a picture of love and heartbreak, zoomed in so closely you are given the chance to experience each pixel of emotion. It leaps genres, creating a diverse sound which accents deeply vulnerable lyrics. Lipstick is a love letter unsent, addressed to women who love women."
Join us for a celebration of the album, musical performances by Rosa and friends, typewriter poetry by Coelti + Lisa Marie and a general queer gathering on the eve of Pride.
